Ewing Loan Advisors utilizes the services of its staff, consulting professionals
and members of its
affiliated investment banking company. These
professionals have the benefit of extensive experience
with banks, regulatory agencies, and in investment
banking activities within the financial industry. A
profile of our professionals and their qualifications
and background follows.
Robert B. Dunlap, President
Bob Dunlap has more than 20 years experience in
credit underwriting and loan origination and
administration with thrifts and regional national banks,
as well as mortgage banking firms. His latest banking
position was Senior Vice President of First Union
National Bank of Florida during the 1990's, where he was the senior credit
officer for the Special Assets Division. In this
position, he worked closely with Loan Review and bank management in reviewing specific
reserves, charge-off’s and in establishing loan loss
projections. He was directly responsible for the sale
of over 4000 notes and $500 million in whole loans
during his tenure at First Union National Bank. While
with Ewing, Bob led a team that was engaged by the FDIC
as the Asset Manager for the receivership and
liquidation of Hamilton Bank in Miami.
Bob is a graduate of Florida State University (BS) and
the University of North Florida (MBA, MACC); he holds CPA
and Real Estate Broker licenses, as well.
Richard S. Ludlow, Managing Director of
Portfolio Management
Dick Ludlow was for over 13 years Senior Vice
President of First Union National Bank of Florida and
the Manager of the Special Assets Division. He was
responsible for the management oversight of all loan
workouts, litigation and disposition of REO. During that
tenure, he was responsible for as many as five regional
offices with over 200 employees managing as much as $2
billion in problem loans. Since his retirement from
First Union, Dick has performed consulting services for
problem loan portfolios for a number of financial
institutions. Dick is a graduate of Occidental College
(BA).
William W. Selden, Jr., Regional
Loan Review Representative
During his 38 years in banking, Bill has been
responsible for customers in branch, corporate, middle
market and private banking areas. He has worked for a
large regional bank as well as a community bank. His
knowledge of various market segments and client profiles
is an asset is assessing risk in a loan portfolio.
James A. Todd, Regional Loan Review Representative
Jim’s 38 years in the banking industry have included
bank examination at the state and federal levels as well
as being President, CEO and Chairman of a community bank
holding company. In between the above positions, he also
managed the Credit Administration area for a community
bank, including management of the problem asset
portfolio.
Benjamin Bishop, Consulting Director and
Chairman of Allen C. Ewing & Co.
Ben Bishop has over 30 years experience in providing
investment banking advisory services to community banks
for mergers and acquisitions, valuations, and capital
formation. He is currently the Chairman of Allen C.
Ewing & Co., which was established in 1939 and is
headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. Ben is a graduate of
the Georgia Institute of Technology (B.I.E.) and Harvard
University (MBA).
W. Allen Rogers, II, Consulting Director
Allen Rogers began his career as a bank examiner with
the Federal Bank of Atlanta. In that capacity, he
examined state member banks and bank holding companies
throughout the sixth Federal Reserve District. In
addition, he handled the regulatory review and
processing of applications involving the formation of
bank holding companies and the acquisitions by bank
holding companies of both banks and permissible non-bank
entities. Later, he joined Interstate Securities
(Interstate/Johnson Lane) in investment banking, and in
1995 opened a Charlotte office for the investment
banking unit of KPMG. Allen is a graduate of Davidson
College (BA) and The Wharton School of Finance and
Commerce (MBA).
